I am happy to share my two new knit dresses for my daughter.  This is the Sassy Dress pattern by Puperita, which I received for free in exchange for testing the pattern.  I've returned to work, so I'm pretty picky about what pattern's I will spend my time sewing, but I never hesitate to sew a Puperita pattern.  The Pattern features a collar, long or short sleeves, pockets, an overlap snap placket on the back, and a sweet A-line shape.  The simple design is best when sewn up with busy fabric or when you add an applique.  The back snap placket allows you to use any knit fabric, regardless of stretch percentage.  It is designed for thicker weight knits, so she added the suggestion to take a larger seam allowance on the sleeves if you sew it with thinner jersey. Happy Girl Side View I am really pleased with Susan's newest dress.  Sew Straight and Gather  just released the Cafe Romper and I tested size four with a regular yoke, sleeves, and a skirt for Susan.  (I received the finished pattern for free in exchange for testing).  It is on sale through Sunday for $5CAD.  The pattern offers instructions to make the pattern with a blind tucked front and back yoke, pants and shorts options as well. This is not a quick sew, but it is a beautiful finished garment.  The pattern offers a tucked yoke, fully lined yoke (allowing you to use lace), hidden button placket, curved inset pockets, belt loops, and a belt.                                         Susie just turned 3 and I finished a lot of UFOs for her birthday.  This was the last set I had to complete and I hope to blog about the others soon.  These are Puperita patterns and both were a joy to sew.  They work perfectly together.  The Tiny Flowers Blouse is shown paired with another overall dress in the pattern, so I can't claim originality for putting the two together.   I have had the Doodle's corduroy for a couple months and when Puperita released the Lil Critters Dress I knew it would be perfect.  For the Tiny Flowers Blouse, I searched Jo-Ann's for apparel fabric that would match the corduroy print and ended up in the quilting cotton section.  I wish there were more specialty cottons availabl...
